The Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (IICE) in association with EECS Dept., Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal
successfully organized One Week Advanced Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (A-ESDP) on “Data Science and Data Analytics” from
23rd to 27th February 2026. The programme was sponsored by the Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) Division, Ministry of Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India.
The programme aimed to strengthen entrepreneurial and technical capabilities in emerging areas such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
It witnessed participation from MSMEs, startup founders, research scholars, and students interested in applying data-driven technologies in innovation and enterprise development.
The inaugural session began with a welcome by Dr. Preeti Chandurkar, Deputing CEO, IICE. Prof. Gobardhan Das, Director, IISER Bhopal, delivered the Welcome
Address, while Prof. Chandan Sahi, Dean (Research & Development), introduced the research ecosystem of IISER Bhopal. Dr. Bharathwaj Sathyamoorthy,
Coordinator, IICE, highlighted the initiatives of the incubation centre in promoting entrepreneurship.
The programme featured expert sessions by distinguished speakers including Dr.Bhawna Pandya, Mr. Nikhil Parmar, Dr. Koshy George, Prof. P. B. Sujit, Dr.
Vinod Yadav, Mr. Agamdeep Singh, Dr. Samiran Das, Dr. Sai Phani Kumar Vangala, Dr. Haroon R. Lone, and Dr. Arijit Sen. The sessions covered topics such
as AI tools, machine learning applications, startup validation, innovation, and industry use cases. Participants also visited the Innovation and Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship (IICE) to gain exposure to startup support and incubation facilities.
On the final day, Dr. Feroz Khan Suri delivered sessions on financial literacy, startup funding, and valuation strategies. The programme concluded with a Valedictory Session addressed by Mr. Manish Rajoria, Chairman – Career Society and Director – Aadarsh Technosoft Pvt. Ltd., who encouraged participants to pursue technology- driven entrepreneurship.
The programme served as a valuable platform for interaction between academia, industry experts, MSMEs, and startups, reinforcing IISER Bhopal’s commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurial development.
